Using BenchMark
BenchMark gives you calculators, protocols, videos, quizzes and an AI lab assistant to support your lab work and learning. It does not replace your lab’s procedures, safety training, risk assessments or your supervisor’s advice. Always check critical values against your SOPs and reagent data sheets before you use them.
Mark’s answers
Mark is an AI assistant and can be wrong. Check his answers before you rely on them at the bench.
Your account
An account is for one person. Keep access to your email secure, because we use it to sign you in.
Plans and trials
Plus and Pro are subscriptions that renew until you cancel, through the store you bought them from. Each person can have one free trial. The student price needs a verified university email, which we may ask you to confirm again at renewal. Lab and Campus plans are covered by the order form or quote you agree with us.
Fair use
Don’t misuse the app, try to break or copy it, share your account, or upload papers or files you don’t have the right to use.
Content
Your protocols and notes stay yours. BenchMark’s videos, modules, quizzes, templates and Mark are ours and are licensed to you for your own study and research, or for your organisation on Lab and Campus plans.
Responsibility
BenchMark is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost experiments, reagents or time. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Last updated October 2026.
